Podstawowe informacje o zasadach przyporządkowania punktów ECTS: - roczny wymiar godzinowy nakładu pracy studenta konieczny do osiągnięcia zakładanych efektów uczenia się dla danego etapu studiów wynosi 1500-1800 h, co odpowiada 60 ECTS;
- tygodniowy wymiar godzinowy nakładu pracy studenta wynosi 45 h;
- 1 punkt ECTS odpowiada 25-30 godzinom pracy studenta potrzebnej do osiągnięcia zakładanych efektów uczenia się;
- tygodniowy nakład pracy studenta konieczny do osiągnięcia zakładanych efektów uczenia się pozwala uzyskać 1,5 ECTS;

Wykład dostarcza podstawowej wiedzy na temat: etyki ogólnej jako dyscypliny filozoficznej, kluczowych zagadnień etycznych związanych z działalnością badawczą oraz metodyki rozstrzygania dylematów etycznych odnoszących się do badan empirycznych i inżynierii. Umożliwia studentom wzbogacenie ich umiejętności w zakresie krytycznej analizy etycznych aspektów działalności badawczej, a także umiejętności dyskutowania na temat ich przekonań etycznych oraz ich obrony.

Pełny opis: |
(tylko po angielsku) The course is providing basic knowledge on general ethics as a philosophical discipline, presenting ethical issues related to research activities, and introducing the methodology for resolving ethical dilemmas related to research activities in empirical sciences and engineering. The course is also aimed at enhancing students` skills of critical analysis of ethical aspects of research activity and their skills for discussing and defending ethical views.
Lecture contents
- Elements of meta-ethics and general ethics (6 h):
- definition of
ethics, and the structure of ethics as a philosophical discipline; - meta-ethics or methodology of ethics;
- historical development of ethics;
- relation of ethics to other philosophical disciplines;
- relation of ethics to law, religion and customs;
- relation of ethics to psychology, sociology and other social sciences.
- Ethical aspects of empirical research (6 h):
- choice of research
problem;
- choice of research methodology;
- design and execution of experiments;
- acquisition and processing of experimental data;
- experimentation involving live organisms.
- Ethical aspects of information processes (8 h):
- definitions of
truth and their ethical consequences; - methods for acquisition of scientific knowledge and their ethical evaluation;
- ethical issues related to the scientific discussion;
- ethical issues related to the publication of research results;
- ethical issues related to the reviewing process;
- ethical issues related to grant applications.
- Protection of intellectual property - legal and ethical aspects
(2 h).
- Ethical aspects of engineering design (2 h).
- Codes of ethics and other sources of information on research ethics (2 h).
- Tests (4 h).
