The programme is offered students of the Warsaw University of Technology. The aim of the course is to introduce the basic terminology of social sciences and give the opportunity to identify, understand and discuss in groups, with support of relevant literature, crucial issues connected with the Polish society in transition in a comparative perspective. It will help students to understand and cope with radically changing institutions and new problems they will meet in uncertain future. The course is divided into parts: concepts and methods, social dynamics, social institutions, social divisions, and social changes. |
